We started FLOWER CO. in response to the high taxes that came along with legalization. Cannabis taxes are calculated at checkout and depend on the type of product you are purchasing and where the product is being delivered.
Cannabis taxes in California compound. The result is an effective tax rate so high it makes our accountant blush.
There are some minor exceptions for MMIC customers but for the majority of users the tax calculation looks something like this: your cannabis subtotal is hit with the local cannabis tax (if applicable). Then, the state requires us to add delivery fees (if applicable) to the cannabis subtotal plus the local cannabis tax total and hit that with the 15% State excise tax. Next, we add any non-cannabis products like accessories and merch and hit everything with your local sales tax rate.

California law requires that we deliver to private residential or commercial addresses. We can deliver to homes and places of business. We are unable to meet in public areas like parks.
You may receive delivery at your residence, place of work, hotel, or any other location that is considered private property. We cannot deliver to public spaces, government buildings, or schools that provide instruction for Preschool, Kindergarten, or Grades 1-12. Some private colleges do not permit weed delivery. Check your local rules and contact us with questions to avoid the sadness caused by order cancellation.
Yes, please contact us prior to your scheduled delivery time. We can update the order to match the name of the person that will be available to sign for the delivery.
Delivery recipients need to be 21 years old (or 18 with a medical card).
